Wishing all my readers a happy and peaceful holiday. Thank you for your support this year - The Lichfield Rambler will be taking a break until early January, when I’ll be kicking off with a new series on Vanbrugh’s plays to tie in with his tercentenary year. As a warm-up, here’s a post from last Christmas about trying to make his punch recipe (I don’t advise using a hot poker!)
